Broken and Wounded

                                " Broken and Wounded"

Though life may be shattered, filled with ravaging, intense pain,
though some days seem to be worse than others, filled with storms and rain.
Though spirits may be broken, hearts wounded, living a life filled with sin,

Through saving grace we can be fixed, repaired and  made whole again.
Though bills lay unpaid, money's short - don't know what to do,
though the electric is off and quiet is the only sound, y'all know it's true..
Though unemployment has run out and it seems there is no hope at all,
He can put fix our problems, joblessness, depression, all of them.. whether big or small.

Though drugs may devastate a community, destroy and tear a family apart,
though death, grief and sorrow  may hurt you- seem to rip out  your heart.
Though life may be broken, spirits wounded and never seem to be able to mend,
I know a King who can put it all together again.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
