Hard to Wait
Hard to Wait...
I asked God for something, I'm waiting on Him,
for it is truly what I want, not just asked for on a whim.
I have faith and I trust He heard my prayer,
I know God does what's best for me, I know He's right there.
I must admit I'm still human and impatience is a part of me,
I'm like a little kid, waiting, getting all worried and fidgety.
"Did He hear my prayers"- "Will He grant my request..."
It sure can be hard to wait, but I know my Father knows best.
There are some others, who are in the very same place as me,
we've given God our petition and wait - somewhat impatiently.
Trust me when I tell you, He heard, our prayers did not fall on deaf ear,
He knows what we want, provides what we need.. He's always near.
So as my grandma would say "hold your horses, just keep still,
whatever it is God will grant it.. if it's in His will.
Now in faith I'm growing, I'm holding on, I know my God is never too late,
but family, I must admit, I'm tapping my foot, cause sometimes it's hard to wait.
