    Broken

I broke a promise just the other day,
I told you I'd love you until my dying day.
But my heart is to calloused,
    to hold something tender.
So under this rock, I will fade away.
To wish you the best, day after day.
I will watch you in shadows, to make sure your safe.
But always to far to catch words you say.
I broke a promise just the other day,
I told you I missed you and hated this place.
But in this surrounding it feels like home,
more than that place we stayed at alone.
It's not that I hate you,
    We just seem to misplaced.
    Our hearts where misguided,
    By this simple mistake.
I broke a promise just the other day,
I told you I'd love you until my dying day.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
