Butterfly
But in some distant, once upon a misty dream, often in silence, in the night I sit
A mountain path my soul wanders, long since searching, lost in a forsaken time
When it’s so cold to feel, fleeting memories, an infinity endless, longing within a touch
Content in a child’s sigh, all the day so long, such bittersweet, drift thoughtlessly
Eternity in one short breath, left incompletely weary, falling shy
A vast heartbeat of emptiness, a life blind to dread, sweet time closing in
Floating on an Angels tear, in the mirror forgotten I stare, drifting with a butterfly
Threw the door, whispers of a bygone time, fantasy beliefs, shadow of a moon beam
Once upon that of a stormy day, faltering step something gave, wanderlust forgotten
A weary unrelenting soul, shadows dancing across time, drifting lazily by
Seemingly no longer debating, adrift in hopeless focus, once upon a time alive
Ebbing reserve adrift, endlessly desiring an echo, lost desire fallen faith
She is the dream leading me, enveloping me thick as a midnight fog,
Musing of a humbled mystic reality, softly a soul calling, if only an instant
The dawning hour, an Angelic voice beckons, dancing in a summer rain
Somewhere down a distant path, where only the heart would know
How it just seems so, drifting upon a lazily breeze, loathing for happiness
Living inside my heartbeat, the vastness her smile rules, if only she knew
