Finding the Blues
Sometimes a man stop and wonders, the storms brewing often within
Thoughts passing by like faded memories, faith on a dream,
and fear of a hope. A morning turning into a days setting sun,
where one begins does the other end. Silent fog drifting by, ever be just
anything, daring to dance with fate
Does a heart dare tread, where a mind wonders not, trying to forget,
feeling of when. And when left standing alone, deserted,
one last look at a ghost of the forsaken
Cold sleepless nights, searching for a saving grace, silently fading
Chasing what's burning deep in the soul, simple desire of the heart,
forgotten
Where silence of words fail, far off in a great distance, all just so clear
Somewhere to go, to belong, seeking never finding, eyes shelter a lie
Just to give it all away, home ever found, where one moment last
A wish to go back, to change, make different of words or feelings
Take a moment, rearrange time, would the path remain, how things wouldn't
be the same. How we all change in the end,
the choice we made, different yet the same
If a heart faltered, guilt suffered by grief, tonight one last stand, so
long. Searching, lost along the way, waiting on tomorrow, finding a place
to hide, alone. And when the dawn comes, too long has it been, when is the
time, replaying the moment. A shadow across the night, searching a lost
soul, sweet redemption, all for the blues
