Butterfly

Torture in a world of peace, fear in the
brightness of life.
Paralyzed at the height of movement,
suspended in a time of chaos.

Butterfly, fly me away with wings as bright
as sun, that I can't hope to follow.
Butterfly, fly me away to the cocoon that
wrapped you in warmth that I can't hope to feel.

Sadness in jubilant times, tired in a
dreamless sleep.
Tears that won't release,
drowning in those pent up tears.

Butterfly, fly me away with your wings of
bright color, that I can't find on earth.
Butterfly, fly me away from the deceitful
world I live that I might find some peace.

Butterfly, fly me away....
