    Ceasefire

    The day drags on,
    our yelling and screaming
    reverberating off the walls.

    I yell at you,
    you scream back,
our anger never level never drops.

    Maybe we shouldn't,
    yes we should,
why are we doing this again?

    And everytime I try
    to make it better,
    you don't answer.

    I want a ceasefire
    to this fighting,
    but it's all you want.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
