Dark Abyss

Dark Abyss

My soul is a dark abyss filled with nothing but two cages, Both filled and waiting to be opened.

One I strain to keep closed, The other I try to open with all my might.

One filled with a Burning Rage like no other that wants to consume me and all that is near.

The other is My Love waiting to be released by the One with The Key.

So please come my one true love and decide my fate for me.

For I grow weary of this constant battle with my Rage.

Please come and open the other cage and see just how much I Love You.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
