    Do You Believe

    Run your race,
    and then pack it in.
    Go to church on Sunday,
    and continue to sin.

    Playing God for a fool,
    he’s not really there.
Live your life as you wish,
    what do you care?

    Abusing your body,
    cursing our Lord.
Is the loss of your soul,
    something you can afford?

    He gave you a lifetime,
    to read the good book.
    But you just ignore it,
    never giving it a look.

    What will you say,
    when judgement day comes.
    Why didn’t you believe,
    in my only begotten son?

    He died on the cross,
    to save all mankind.
    Yet we continue to leave,
    his teachings behind.

    Life is the most precious,
    gift God has to give.
    And we throw it away,
with the way that we live.

    So mankind is damned,
    to an eternity in hell.
    Because nobody listened,
to what our Lord had to tell.

WOW!!! Magnificent!!! Your expression of this piece was excellent. I loved it. Thanks for sharing. I would like to invite you to share your thoughts about my work. Thank you and God bless!!!

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
