amor terrenal

soft whispers of earthliness
dirt smeared across your cheek
your love of the life
a delicate dream on which the world rests

sweet words of wisdom

sun streaks in your hair
your help a saving grace
a desire has grown in my heart

unlike anything I have ever known

your peaceful delight is like a sunrise to my nightmares
I dream of you as waking life

sound notions rooted in love

your jeans old and faded
the world sings at your footfall
and I am a flower that longs to be studied by you

very nice. love described like a peaceful flowing river. i like it

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
