    Empty

    your touch
reminds me of what i was
    your lips
reminds me of who i was
    your eyes
remind me of what i was
    but who you see
    is not me
    i'm stripped down
    bare inside
i wear a smile on my sleeve
to make it through the day
    you remember nothing
    you say nothing
just go on as if it's all the same
    but i have changed
    i hate everything
    i hate happy people
    i hate birds chirping
    laughing, even crying
    especially on sunny days
i've been here, now i'm just there
just let me escape to nowhere
