Eternity
My clammy hands rose to see
The warm blisters
Exploding with ice
Slicing my nerves with an
Agonizing pleasure that
Threatens the fortress
Of barbed wire that
Protects my delicate pyre
Whose jade green flame
Floods this prison cell
I’ve constructed from
The lies that surround
My quiet screams.
My silent howl splinters
The plank suspending
The weight of my
My dreams from tumbling
Down this peak
I’ve climbed with
The harness of thorns
Your tongue wrapped
Around my wanting flesh.
Your razor bladed eyes
Split my feeling
And turned my personal
War inside out
Transforming my voice
Into an endless echo
That slithers through my skull
And devours its tail
As I raise my hands
Once more.
The warm blisters
Exploding with ice
Slicing my nerves with an
Agonizing pleasure that
Threatens the fortress
Of barbed wire that
Protects my delicate pyre
Whose jade green flame
Floods this prison cell
I’ve constructed from
The lies that surround
My quiet screams.
My silent howl splinters
The plank suspending
The weight of my
My dreams from tumbling
Down this peak
I’ve climbed with
The harness of thorns
Your tongue wrapped
Around my wanting flesh.
Your razor bladed eyes
Split my feeling
And turned my personal
War inside out
Transforming my voice
Into an endless echo
That slithers through my skull
And devours its tail
As I raise my hands
Once more.
