Disguises
Where is the light that should shine
In this blinding darkness
What happened to the warmth
I felt in this frosty blizzard
Why are my coldest nights spent wrapped
In your warm blooded arms
Why hasn’t exhaustion embraced my soul
After this 5 year exercise
You have drained my everlasting nothing
You have harnessed my audible silence
You have dragged me down deeper
Than any star in the final seconds of dawn
You have soiled my filthy heart
In a pasture of golden flowers
The three sixties I spin while standing
Motionless in this turbulent fallout
You spew forth from your closed lips
Has released my wings
Only to find the thread
That chains my agony to your future
In this blinding darkness
What happened to the warmth
I felt in this frosty blizzard
Why are my coldest nights spent wrapped
In your warm blooded arms
Why hasn’t exhaustion embraced my soul
After this 5 year exercise
You have drained my everlasting nothing
You have harnessed my audible silence
You have dragged me down deeper
Than any star in the final seconds of dawn
You have soiled my filthy heart
In a pasture of golden flowers
The three sixties I spin while standing
Motionless in this turbulent fallout
You spew forth from your closed lips
Has released my wings
Only to find the thread
That chains my agony to your future
