Fairy Tale
When I was a little girl,
I dreamed of the perfect fairy tale,
Meet prince charming,
He would sweep me off my feet,
He would be the perfect gentle man,
He would e so sweet.
As i got older I have realized,
My dreams have turned into lies,
My smiles have turned into tears,
And all my hopes into fears,
And that no one is coming to rescue me.
I've learned that all you can do is try,
Give it all,
And try not to fall,
Blank out the past,
Try to move on,
Forget everything that has happened,
What you had is gone.
Close your eyes so you cannot see,
Blank out the words, so you cannot hear.
You can't feel, you can't fall.
Love cannot hurt you at all.
I dreamed of the perfect fairy tale,
Meet prince charming,
He would sweep me off my feet,
He would be the perfect gentle man,
He would e so sweet.
As i got older I have realized,
My dreams have turned into lies,
My smiles have turned into tears,
And all my hopes into fears,
And that no one is coming to rescue me.
I've learned that all you can do is try,
Give it all,
And try not to fall,
Blank out the past,
Try to move on,
Forget everything that has happened,
What you had is gone.
Close your eyes so you cannot see,
Blank out the words, so you cannot hear.
You can't feel, you can't fall.
Love cannot hurt you at all.
