Fall and Fade To Black
Holding you close.
No time to waste.
So here we stand.
Face to face.
Brushing your hair back from your eyes.
But you're staring right on through,
Hiding your tactless lies,
Is something that you could never do.
You're yearning for me to stay.
Thoughts flowing hastily through your head.
All the hateful things that I could say…to you.
Are better left unsaid.
You're begging at my feet.
But I won't, I won't take you back.
You shall be ill with this defeat.
I'll watch you fall and fade to black.
This is what you get.
It's the least that you deserve.
And I'm willing…to bet.
That you even have the nerve.
To say anything at all.
To keep me close by your side.
But I refuse to stop your fall.
It's your own self imposed…suicide.
Always so sadistic and so cold.
You've torn me down since the start.
I'll let this scratch a gaping hole.
Right on through you worthless heart.
Your salty tears can't wash away…
Any of my inflictions.
Just fade to black and leave today.
You're so guilty of all these convictions.
Nowhere to turn.
Nowhere for you to hide.
I'll watch you burn…
In your own fiery suicide.
These words are daggers.
Tarnishing your flawless skin.
And not that it matters….
But I'll never…..love…again.
