    FEAR

I tremble to think of it
And shrink away when the time is near
    There is never that liveliness
When he start gnawing at my heart
Sure something terrible has just happened
And when I think of it
I go crazy and my body starts trembling
I think of only what happened
And also what would have happened if -----------
My heart beats twice as fast

Then I’m afraid of saying it
In case it starts all over again
This is what they said to me
    That’s the way life is
At a particular time we all have this feeling
But then we must continue to live
Not just neglect what we are
    Just because of what happened
    Life must go on
There’s a lot to life for.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
