FindinG Peace

It feels so good
To be back in this space.
It gives me a feeling I cannot replace.
I feel the warmth of a sunny day,
the birds songs in the month of May,
It floods my heart with great happiness
To finally be sitting down to write
with no heartache or mess.
I almost had forgotten how sweet it could be,
To sit down and let loose
anything that occurs to me.
It's my passion, and my soul,
I should have never have took this long
to come back and meet myself in a land where anything is possible
It doesn't matter what you write,
It's always a release from love or life
It helps break up the monontony
and even lets me just be me.
So on this day and in this time
I will always make certin that I rhyme
So that I don't forget who I am,
and wake up in the morning a better woman.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
