For Creating Me
How can I say thank you,
For all You’ve done for me?
You’ve given me breath,
And ordained my destiny.
I could have been born
In some far war torn land,
Suffering with disease;
Without legs or a hand.
But You’ve granted me freedom,
And the very faith to believe.
You’ve graced me with courage,
And my sorrows You relieve.
The comfort of a home,
You’ve gifted to me.
The love for my children,
Have been Your degree.
My wisdom, You’ve enlightened,
To choose right or wrong.
Even in my despair,
You’ve blessed me with a song.
All that I am
Or ever will be,
Is imparted to You,
For creating me.
