Never Ending Pasta

I was inspired by a man named "Bill" yesterday. He gave me a gift card for endless pasta.

So I'd like to start a never ending poem. I will start, you follow. Here We Go:

So long and tender
Moist and frail

Re: Never Ending Pasta

found in this, a gargantuan feast
and even though the end is near
I still desire something sweet

So she tenderly forks a ball of meat
Raises it to her lips--so still
Sensually engulfs the morsel
Smiles, and reaches for the bill

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Ah, taz -- I think you were supposed to continue where I left off...but, hey -- who's keeping score ? grrr

Re: Never Ending Pasta

I’ve been keeping score. Here's where we're at:

So long and tender
Moist and frail
never ending pasta
I am going to eat you before you go stale
And according to "Bubba",
I'll never need to exhale..."
Egg and flour are a tasty treat
But it keeps on going, I eat and eat
Never-ending pasta and my defeat....
found in this, a gargantuan feast
and even though the end is near
I still desire something sweet
Boobilah, Boobilah, takes her seat,
Devouring all that's left to eat;
But Boobilah, Boobilah, at the very least
Desiring more than merely feast!
So she tenderly forks a ball of meat
Raises it to her lips--so still
Sensually engulfs the morsel
Smiles, and reaches for the bill
So long and tender
Moist and frail
Hunting for love on a
long and winding trail..
I left off...but, hey -- who's keeping score ?

I am! Ain’t that what desert is for?

(The last line is mine.)

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Boobilah’s meaning is not clear to me,
But I like my pasta with chianti and brie
With squab on the side,
And maybe another squab perched on my knee.
Does that cover everything, my old friend Studly?

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Studly, dear Studly,
I was tempted but please,
You lost me forever
by cutting the cheese.

Grandpa, fatherly
and precious to me
Let's go get Grandma
to sit on your knee.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Why, you’re just a kid, Studly
Compared to me.
When you’re cutting the cheese
Just make sure it’s the brie!

Otherwise there’s an outhouse
Beyond yon stand of trees.
On your way, would you please
Dispose of this cold slimy pasta for me?

Don't you worry 'bout Gramma dear Faithwalkfarm
She don't let me stray far enough to do harm!!!
Should I heat up the pasta for the hands on the farm?
Or consign to fertilizer its corporeal charm?

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Alas let me tutor you, Studly, on the ways of a lass
My talented friend, you gotta getcha’ some class
Which can be a big problem with wind whistling out of your…TV ads
For over-the-counter Gas-Ex, Phazyme or Mylanta Gas.
‘Til you use some, she’ll unlikely surrender to gateau pizzazz.
By the way, where’s the pasta that started this jazz?

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Well, guys, I’ve enjoyed this gustatorial chat!
But I’m leaving you now the lasagna, linguini, the ziti
And other Boobilah ersatz.
My granddaughter’s wedding’s at six o’clock flat,
Even Crazy Grampa'd best not miss that!
But remember, the calories put on the fat!

Bye!

Re: Never Ending Pasta

All was going well at the pasta buffet
when a low rumbling, was heard 'neath
tailored shirt--reverberating 'cross the
table, and down the cobblestone street.
Studly quavered as he coolly smiled
Yelling and kicking and calling out loud,
Oh where, oh where, has my vivacious
Boobilah fled ?
A voice, from way in the back, echoed forth
She's gone to be with gogant, and woe
to you, studly...she couldn't take your gorsh

smile and then sick sick sick

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Granpa your grand-daughter is
certainly blessed
to have you there to see her
in her wedding dress.

Gogant you have joined our
moveable feast
indulge yourself fully
in pasta to eat.

Studly the bubbly
so French and so rare
has gone to my head
and I have not a care.

Let's open the windows
in fresh air to partake,
please summon the waiter
we all shall have cake!

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Least not we haste
For there is more
Goodies and creams
Can’t leave before
We’ve tasted all
of that lay here
So let’s smile aglow,
and tip the server
before we go.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

In accord with our vivacious lady fair,
I agree with our need for a lot of fresh air;
So before we proceed
I’d like to review your accomplished good deeds
“Boobilah” means, I have learned
is from the Yiddish “an affectionate term”
“Gorsh” is a planet in Star Wars, far out
In the context Gogant used it, its meaning’s in doubt.
Gogant, is that planet the place to where
The chef put our poor Studly out?
Don’t know about you, but of pasta I’m good
I give my place at the table to somebody else in the ‘hood.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Oh devaamido
You have laid low
An absolute word
which just goes to show
that poets as us
will sometimes do,
Stick unwords in
here, and there.
Our licenses kicks in
when needed a friend.
So all is forgave,
Our occasional sin,
But, forgive not, ol’
Studly for his odd
word of boobilah
for dear sweet Faith.
She deserves more
than grubby Yiddish

wink = me, and zipper for studly

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Okay studly--get off the crapper.
The night is done, and so is the fun
You’ve chassend away devaamido
And all the patronage have run.
Even the misenguiled rapper.
Lo, I’ve been here on KP duty
And wouldn’t you just know it,
I’ve misplaced my dear beauty.
Now I’m all alone, scared to death,
That Faith has run off with the chef.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

I thought this was about infinite pasta
For all things celestial were alligned
But fork fucking carbs have now turned to egos
A nitpicking of whose craft needs refined

Is it just me who wants spaghetti and sauce?
Perhaps a huge slice of chocolate cake?
Not a wordy validation of ones craft
Just a bloat causing meal for Christ's sake!

Re: Never Ending Pasta

At this point, I will pay the bill
and depart.
I leave you all with good will
and bad....hearts.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

I think Pape stunk up the place
caused Faith to depart in disgrace.
And, now, I think I will leave in a huff,
begone, say I, as I vanish in a puff...

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Studly, Granpa and Gogant, the jazz bar next door
is where we should meet.
There's beer and french bubbly and more;
that annoying Pape won't find a seat.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Well, Faith and Studly, Grampa too, I enjoyed that...more or less. And we all can tell how well ol' Studly enjoys such things. You are one super-sonic jet at things like this, dear friend Studly.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Unless in fact she was already there
Sitting quite proud on her tight dairy-air
Still laughing at those whose fun she did poke
Imagining their ears puffing with smoke

Words are empty 'til you give them meaning
Eyes behind the computer still scheming
What is going on in those little heads?
Wishing they'd ordered a salad instead

Faith my dear, I am sorry for the bother
I'll blame it on my absentee father
Sit at my table, I'll pour you a glass
We can make nice, and Studly can pass gas!
