Re: Never Ending Pasta

Old Favre was looking pretty good last night
out there still trying, not giving up the fight.
And since for the Cowboys, I cannot cheer,
I'll buy you, dear Gogant, my friend, a cold beer.
Let's raise our glasses to someone that old
who is still out there trying and going for gold.
You know you loved him when he played for your boys
please don't be fickle or say he's a toy, although!
He's pretty cute even with that gray hair
and if he came in, I'd say "pull up a chair."

oh brother, even I admit that was bad.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Faith, before I take a seat
You have to promise to be sweet
Brett is a hunk, I know that, dear.
If he walked in here, I would buy the beer.

We all know Brett is the second best,
But Ben is ahead of all the rest.
Roslisberger doesn’t have to worry
‘bout tripping on his beard
Nor taking his Geritol with sugar.
Just how to raise his hand
In victory, and wave to us fans.

Now we can cuddle and forget
About my Ben, and your Brett.
And mellow o’er ol’ JD or chardonnay
Come on Faith…what do you say…

tongue rolleye and a lot of kiss kiss

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Merci, Gogant,
but I can't.

Promise to be sweet, my dear?
It's just not in my nature
to whisper sweet nothings in your ear
but perhaps, Gogant, in the future,

If my Favre were to win the Super Bowl
now wouldn't that be something?
The QB the Iron City boys let go
to the Jets and then the Vikings?

It's so nice to talk about football.
Even when we disagree.
How about we try the farfalle'
tonight, I'm a little tired of spaghetti.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Let me lean back and think...
Give me a second or two.
Should I order manicotti
Or maybe rigatoni el dente
Hmmm…I’m thinking ‘bout
Drinking and skipping the sauce
Ahhhh…the night tis passin’
And we are just us two
Can’t we think up a special entrée ?
I know one…it’s called
Love the one your with
Now that sounds better
Than any pasta knish ……..

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Yes, it seems tonight it is just us two
and drinking seems the thing to do.
The song you quoted, I know very well
but promise you won't kiss and tell!
Where's my Soulsister? I need her advice
on love and what's safe, here on this site.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

I thought I must have heard it
Somewhere…perhaps in a dream
But if you can’t be with the one you love,
Then love the one you’re with, it seems
To me that there is truth to that
But I guess I should stop with the tunes
And move on to the bowl and spoon
And hold in my hand, my crooked little hat.
Hey waiter, bring me a fork
I’ve finished the soup
and am in need of some pork.
Now don’t be stingy with the whisky
I need substance for this frame.
When I drink, I have no shame
I’ll play it, no matter what the game.
Faith, come take my hand, turn out the lights.
We’ve got tonight, who needs tomorrow.
We’ve got tonight babe, why don’t you stay.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Dear Gogant, you are certainly romantic
and I have been known to go quite frantic
over men like you, with lots of charm
and witty, too then "what's the harm?"
My dear, my heart's just on the mend.
I hope that we will still be friends.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

I see, dear friend, that you’re on the mend,
So I’ll stop with my manly charm
I think I can stick to the menu now
And order up some spaghet with parm.

And if you’re in the hungry mode
I’ll order up some for you too.
And I’ll tell you what I’ll do.
Why, I’ll even buy you a glass or two.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

You are a gentleman and a friend;
Thank you for understanding.
I'll take you up on that glass of wine
a drink will cheer this soul of mine
That and of course your good company
now tell me how is tonight's spaghetti?

Gogant! Is that your hand on my knee?

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Don't blame me if you have a crick in your knee.
I've more tender things to get me through the night,
I might start out with some delicious vermicelli
perhaps a bit of rigatoni or succulent stuffed shells
smothered in marinara sauce would do just right.

But now and then I just might be swayed
to lean a little closer to you my dear.
but I'll watch that I don't dangle anything loosely
from fork, nor from my book of seductive moves
that would put you into a state of tears...

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Thank you for the wine, my dear,
it is my favorite by the way.
I think, I've changed my mind, my dear,
for I've been reading on your page
your poetry in all the words you have to say.
Funny how your written lines
intoxicate me more than the wine.

What do you say, my dear Gogant?
They're playing our song, care to dance?
Take me home for a little romance
and even dessert at my place?

We've got tonight, babe, why don't you stay?

Re: Never Ending Pasta

As I got up to leave the table
The clock was striking near on one,
Turned I to look again for a sign--
A sign from you Faith, dear one
To let me know you wanted me
to remain beside you there I prayed
Uncaring ‘bout the ziti with sauce
And the lingering waft of chardonnay.
Your thoughts were within the wine,
And cavatina bowl, givin’ me to know
I’d best be gone before the sun
Shone the two of us naked
in your sunlit room of love divine.

What was one of your most intimate moments?

One, just one, not the only one mind you, but just this one,
I'll reveal here tonight. ohh

When I was fifteen, I fell in love
with the most wonderful girl
in this world, and the heavens above.
I was just a poor boy...money had I none.
One day she asked of me
to teach her to kiss, and it was done.
She smiled as the angels do --
turned to me ... and with a smile,
murmured softly - George, I love you.

Now, it's your turn........................................gogant

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Are we starting a new thread?
Oh my God, Gogant, but I dread,
to do this.

Pasta bowl ran it's course.
(Studly said I ate like a horse)
it's ended now but is there remorse?
Is it over?

The end of our talk,
I can't help but balk
No more pasta or wine?
Is that it?

Turn out the lights;
the party is over
It's the end.
It's all good,

Faith has a new lover.

Re: Never Ending Pasta

Ooops, I goofed again
my dear friend.
I thought you closed
this thread...said it should end

The tables are all bare
no forks with which to poke
nor glasses for your wine
not a single chef to care

But if you need consoled
here's my shoulder
and my outstretched hand.
Hurry now, it's getting colder.
