    GYPSY

    Dancing a gypsy dance
    Round and round I twirl
    A lover's hold a fortune told
The lines in my hand be the map to my road

    Do you see my future
Holding the crystal in your hand
    Laying the cards to read
Do we really know what the future holds

    Can anyone ever know
Why we come and why we go
The road is my true companion
    This I will always know

The common man will never understand
What we see in all the land
They lock their doors and walk in fear
    Waiting for us to disappear

But no one can take us from this land
    The company we keep alone
    Ancient ways set in stone
Painted wagons and tin to sell

So we choose to walk alone
    But never lonely are we
    Always in good company
    This is the gypsy's song

honestly, i am not a big fan of this poem. however, when you write, "....the lines in my hands be the map to my road.." is one of the most poetic and gorgeous things i have ever read. wow, i will read on. thank you.
