    THE TOWER

My heart is protected by what I have built
Stone by stone the walls go round
    Silence is the only sound

No doors to open nor locks to pick
Fields of barriers mines in the ground
    Destruction lays all around

For every pain that I feel another stone is laid
Walls so thick to tall to climb
    She remains unreachable through time

No one ever knows her just the mask she wears
Loneliness her only friend no one finds a way in
Her fortress has become her tomb

Through a window she sees her doom
Unbreakable glass she looks at you
Watching the world forever trapped from it

Will she ever know the feel of true love
Will she ever know what it is to trust
Can anyone find a way through to the beauty within

Passion and grace talents no one will ever see
All that she is lies within me I am the tower I am the wall
Wanting it to someday fall and let me come back to this world

Will I be crushed by the weight or vanish without a trace
Not a soul can truly say they have ever seen beyond the wall
Are you the one to make it fall?

I really enjoyed this...walls are temporary...every piece of the wall is time-delayed and that's all...Smiles*

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
