    THE LADY

For my warrior I stand proud and strong
My heart held tight in hand for you
May I be your courage for your fight
May I give you strength and might

    My voice give you guidance
    My eyes your true sight
As I hand you your sword
And give you your will to fight

I am the mother, sister or wife
Your lady fair for which you fight
May my name be on your lips
My face be your only sight

My grace your blessing I give only to you
I am the ages and the young
For only you do I sing this song
I have no master to serve or bow

To you I give my solemn vow
To stand by you through all that shall come
To give you everything you shall ever need
I am your lady and so much more

a worthy poem...a residue of "real honor"- I say residue because these days it is rare to find such honor, as it is nearly extinct...stay in this place...*smiles*

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
