How does one find words to beat his wife

How does one find words to beat his wife?

 He does not

Just a little beat of the fist to the left each day

   A little more

    A little more

     The world will show you

Black eyes

 Two

  Why does she speak more?

She wants to be heard

You hear

 You beat

You hear cries

You kill

Do you listen?

NO

Do you care?

YOU THINK

Do you see?

YOU THINK

Wrap your hurt up and strike her

Will she understand?

NO

 Do you care?

 You would if you knew

She is dead now

She can not even listen to you

She hurts no more

But you do.

This is a good write but yet so sad. A man that beats his wife is not a man at all. This is how he makes himself believe he is.So sad that this happens everyday. Good emotions

Too bad more people don't read poems like this! maybe the domestic violence wain some. Too many times someone has to die to get a message across. A very good poem, if only more would see it.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
