I spent last night with you

I spent last night with you

Dollar draft on a Friday night
She sat alone under neon lights
I sat down beside her and bought her a drink
We talked for a while and I tried not to think
About how I lost your love so long ago
Don't want to admit that I still need you so

We danced and we laughed there was real chemistry
I got the feeling she was falling for me
Then I held her close
But I kissed your lips
I think she might have been confused
She spent the night with me
I spent the night with you

Saturday morning, I slip out of bed
Feeling so guilty with goodbye unsaid
It's better for her if she doesn't know
I love only one woman and you let me go
I try to move on, what more can I do
Holding another woman but still loving you

I feel bad for last night as I drive away
It could have been love but I'm sorry to say
That when I held her close
I kissed your lips
I know she was confused
She spent last night with me
I spent last night with you

Another dollar draft on a Friday night
Looking for one to take your place tonight
If they hold me close
Then I'll kiss your lips
Someone will be confused
She'll spend the night with me
I'll spend the night with you
