I Want
I Want
You asked me an innocent question: “What do you want to do?”
I know we just met, yet already I know the answer.
I want to spend time with you, just the two of us, doing something fun, your choice.
I want to watch fireworks with my arms around your waist.
I want to listen to music with you without earbuds in a darkened room.
I want you to help me pick out a nice suit of clothes.
It would be fun to hold hands.
I want to share a nice meal in a fine restaurant.
I want to give you a nice long, tight hug.
I want to watch a movie with you on a large, comfortable sofa with your head on my shoulder.
It would be nice to have you fall asleep in my arms. I promise not to move for the rest of the night.
I want to have a long conversation, and talk without worrying about saying the wrong thing.
I want to take a picture of something beautiful in nature, and have you admire it.
I want to travel, anywhere in the world you would like to go.
I want to argue with you. No, really, it would be great intellectual stimulation.
It would be fun to share ice cream with you. Or a soda. Or anything with two straws.
I want to tell you a joke we both think is funny.
I want to give you a rose (preferably candy-striped) from my garden.
I want you to call me someday and say “Meet me right away….”
When can we start?
