    Time Slips Away

    Another dawn, another day.
    Whatever shall I do today?
    Something grand? Something gay?
Hurry up -- time slips away.

When you’re young, life seems like play.
And then your dreams, they go astray.
Time flies by to your dismay.
You will learn fast -- time slips away.

There are rules you must obey
even when you’re old and grey.
So if you’re young, don’t delay.
Don’t forget -- time slips away.

This one rolls by, fast and breezy, except for time, it just slips . . . . Harv

You have a wonderful way of poeticizing real life's ways. A terrific bit of poetry, indeed....................................................gogant
