    I'm Still In Here

    They feed me at meal-time
and change me when I soil
    but no-one can realize
    my heart is in turmoil

    My body aches always
    but I keep on living
    I wish it was over
    my spirit is giving

    There's been pleasure & pain
come and go in my years
    I need some company
    to dry away my tears

I try to talk to them
My words come out all wrong
Brain don't work my mouth right
    Guess it's here I belong

    So until I move on
    to a much brighter place
I'll just live in this home
    where I know no-one's face

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
