In the Eyes of My Father

In the eyes of my father
I see a girl that could never be
    I see a girl who isn't happy
I see a girl who sees me

In the eyes of my father
    I breathe destruction
    A girl who creates choas
and who's mind could never function

In the eyes of my father
I see a love that is dismissed
    A love that always fails
and a love I'll never miss

In the eyes of my father
I see something that isn't fair
"No love from my daddy cuz the courage isn't here
When he pass away I bet I won't cry
Cuz my anger would never let me feel for a stranger"

In the eyes of my father
    I see a curse
"I get my eyes from him"
and that only makes me worse

In the eyes of my father
    I see a soul
    It's black as cold
and to me would never unfold

In the eyes of my father
    I see a broken heart
    I see my mother standing
And a divorce in the start

In the eyes of my father
    I see my brother Cory
the one who took care of me
    but tells a different story

In the eyes of my father
    I see my sister NeNe
The one who set my flame
and from her passion I gained

In the eyes of my father
    I see my brother Derrick
    The one that he corrupted
but also is the most caring

In the eyes of my father
I see a girl that could never be
    I see a girl who isn't happy
I see a girl who sees me

I've already forgiven my father. I let go some time ago. But thanks for the support.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
