Inspiration from Claude McKay’s

If you feel lost and hopeless

Like the world may cave in

Hold your head high

Don’t drag your feet

Stand strong and never be in defeat.

The world may crash around you

But stand strong and be the tower

That even the wind must admire

Grab hold tight

Fight

Stand strong and know you belong.

Don’t allow the many people to rule you

You take control

Make yourself who you want to be.

Never let anyone make your choices

Always fight and stand strong

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
