Leave I say
To all of you
Who can not take that!
I am not a twist tie
That you can bend.
I am not naïve
Or a blank slate
To write on.
I have thoughts
That are my own
And dreams
That I’ll see
Come about.
I will not cow
To your angry words
Or be what you think
I should be.
