    Leanna Bleu

can you come out to play
    barefoot running
    on the warm Atlantic sand
    surf curling around our ankles
dancing its way up to our knees

    look over there
    it's a couple of kids
    building castles in the sand
over there is a couple holding hands
gazing at the beautiful sunlit waves

did you see that surfer bite it
    ooh that had to hurt
    wait...there he goes again
see the man with his son on his shoulders
    they are laughing so gaylee

oh the sounds of the waves and the seagulls
    with their cheerfull chirps
    are you having fun
we can sit here for a bit longer
and have our picnic on the beach

gosh what an amazing day with you
on the beach with my dearest
    friend Leanna Bleu
look at that sunset, will ya
is that not the most beautiful yet

as we walk hand in hand
    my dear friend and me
I look around one more time
and all I can say is
God does good work, doesn't He

    thank you Bleu for sharing
    my virtual day again
for it has been yet another
    day in paradise
    I love you my friend

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
