    Life's little treasures

A myriad of colors in a rainbow
Sunshine, white, puffy clouds and blue skies
    A flock of birds flying
The view from a mountain top.

    Sandy beaches and sea shells
    Stories around a camp fire
    Wind blowing in your hair
    Flying a kite in midair.

    Planting a garden
    Smelling a rose
    Picking your favorite fruit
    Walking in your bare feet.

    Singing your favorite song
Reading a book you can’t put down
    Writing in a journal
    Prayer and meditation.

    Listening to children laugh
    Talking to your best friend
    Actually appreciating your parents wisdom
Giving and maybe receiving unconditional love…

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
