To the broken hearted
Here is all to the broken hearted
The course of love seems so uncharted
Once we are stricken with a strong arrow
The path of happiness seems so narrow.
Passion leaps right past the lust
We search for the one we can trust
To depend on in the times of need
That marvelous, yet rare breed.
Do we fall victim to natural selection?
Or an altered rib that is poor protection?
From the horrible pain of rejection?
As we persistently seek erotic perfection.
No one knows more how it feels
Thank god the broken heart heals
As each new day brings another chance
For the ecstasy of a true romance…
