    Lock Box

In the caverns of my heart
Lies a box without a key
    The contents that dwell within
    Contain the essence of me

All that my heart has to give
Has been saved for that one day
    When God sends someone along
Just to take my box away

    This process isn't simple
For the Lord has locked this box
And it takes a special key
To open these types of locks

Only one can hold the key
    Not just anyone will do
For God has to be the one
To make one heart out of two

And once she opens my box
It will take an act of God
To take the river of love
That flows from my heart abroad

And I'll know she is the one
    That God created for me
When I approach her lock box
    And my key fits perfectly

Well done, great theme, I like your style. I'll check your others. I have several up if you feel so inclined. Thanks for sharing.

good job, love the theme, and the consistent flow of the piece...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
