    Lonely lawn

A lonely lawn by the roadside,
with a lonely river that strolls pass it,
with lovely flowers flaunting their radiant colours,
with trees waving to the sky in glorious abandonment,
and a eerie silence as that of a graveyard in a peaceful world.

Once in a while, a stray singing bird
comes to the tall trees in the lawn.
Once in a while, an adventurous frog
comes to enjoy the cool communicable breeze
of the lonely river in the heart of the lonely lawn
and Once in a while, a hungry wandering black goat
comes with it stubborn little horned head
to nib at the lawn’s ever green delicious grasses.
Once in a while, a golden adventurous buzzing bee
comes to help itself from the sweet scented flowers.
Once in a while, at memorable moments in men’s world,
the lawn experience an influx display of love when
gallivanting lovers come strolling on it lovely paths
taking in the fragrance of it lovely flowers.

And so year in, year out
the lonely lawn grew better and better
with the blessings of the sun shine and rain
and it lived on longer than any creature
    without it beauty diminishing.
Though it stayed lonely all the while,
    it lived long after man.
    The lonely lawn.

This was a great mix of emotion and vision. It allows the reader to be transported, like on a moving train of emotion. Good Job!

Super content! Shaky flow here n there.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
