    The Race of a Woman

This poem is about the pain of being a woman. the trials women face for being women.

    ------------------------------------
As a child, a little child,
    I looked into the distance
to behold the rough path ahead,
    The path of the future
Whose end i do not see.

    I peered through the fingers
covering my eyes from the sight
and long and yarn to see
the end of the sight ahead.

I long to race with great speed
across the agony of growing up.
The pain of dealing with the changes
the challenge of taking the right step.

I desire to spin with acceleration
through the sweet pain in here
of being a girl, a woman and a lady
    the physical sweet pain
    of bringing forth a child

    The monthly dagger
    stabbing at my back
    and scrapping the lining
    of my delicate stomach.

    I long for the end
    the end of this race
this race i run, we run
    as a girl, woman,lady.

I’m perplexed, fiksy, about what your saying here. Your composition is excellent; I’m just having trouble with the message. Is it the fact of being a woman that troubles the protagonist of this piece or is it the indignities women are, too often, subjected to? Or are you leaving it for the reader to decide?

yes the fact of being a woman knowing the troubles we all have to go through just because we are female. all the troubles both the one nature throw us and the ones we and others bring on women.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
