    Love's Allowance

How do I allow myself to get this way?
How do I complicate something so simple?
    Can it be different?
Is there such a reference as simple?
You're not the words that exit my mouth
You're not the thoughts that enter my mind
You're just the guy I laid eyes on
You're just the one I said "I love you" to
You're just every other memory that exits my mind
Anger swells in my belly, because of you
Tears welt my eyes, because of you
    Love is blind?
    I'm blind
I allowed this complication that was so simple
I allowed you to be the words, the thoughts
Watching the blindness slowly take hold
    I'm lost in love
    Love lost itself in me
How did I allow myself to get this way?
