    Love's Bloom

    Anticipation
    Awaiting love’s bloom
    Nothing is sweeter
    Breathtaking awe
    In time the richness fades
    The scent not as sweet
And the petals once soft to touch
    Grow fragile and crisp
    Wistful memories
    Of days gone by
    Uncertain of tomorrows
    But Spring is not over
