    Waxing Moon

    Waxing moon
Glowing in the cloudy night sky
Ethereal view, transfixed by the light

    Cool salty air
    Caresses my skin
Again, frozen, afraid to move in the moment

    Feelings are moving
    Swirling in my heart
Engaging thoughts, flying at lightning speed

    Curiosity influences
    By far more than fear
    Letting the moments slowly unfold

    I search the skies
    Looking for answers
Finding none I stand there breathing

    Slowing my pulse
    Scattering the thoughts
Focusing again on the light of the moon

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
