Lying on the Floor

Lying on the Floor

She was a cold-blooded killer
With blood stains on her face
To watch as his soul left this world
And his memory was erased
In her ugly selfishness
She took his life away
Buried in her own foolishness
Always thought he was a mistake
Well she wasn’t alive long enough to feel guilty...

It felt so good to see her vacant face
Lying on the floor
Because my child’s life can’t be replaced
My heart won’t beat anymore
Yeah it felt so good to see her face
Lying on the floor
Because my child’s life can’t be replaced
No my heart can’t endure.

Well I’ll never see his blue eyes again
And it’s all because of her
Gone at an ungod-given time
And taken everything I have
My love for him extended beyond the edges of the earth
The bright lights of heaven shining and leaving the essence of his worth
Well she didn’t live long enough to feel guilty...

It felt so good to see her vacant face
Lying on the floor
Because my child’s life can’t be replaced
My heart won’t beat anymore
Yeah it felt so good to see her face
Lying on the floor
Because my child’s life can’t be replaced
No my heart can’t endure.
No my heart can’t endure.
No my heart can’t endure.
My heart won’t beat anymore.

She was a cold blooded killer...

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
