    memories

    Memories,
    sharp like broken glass,
pierce the hollow stillness of a callused mind with astonishing clarity,
releasing the mind-blood of a twenty-four year ignorance
to flow freely down and engulf a meaningless existence in realizations,
stinging like vinegar on an opened scab.

Interesting. I liked this one you were very descriptive and it made it's point very well.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
