    Moonlight and Star Shine

    Standing in the moonlight

Longing to be by your side

No matter how brightly the stars may shine

I want your love for mine

Im selfish and I don't care

For I'm lost and alone in a world of dispair

    Watching the moon

Waiting for a love the will never bloom

    Now the sun is shining

But tonight the sky will be crying

    As darkness consumes

    Like an intoxicating perfume

I will be standing in the moonlight

Longing to be by your side

I watch as the stars forget how to shine

Just like a love i wanted to be mine

It's never easy when the one you love doesn't feel the same. I like this poem. Keep writing and good luck.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
