My Adonis

My Adonis

Looking Out over the ocean

Glancing back at my marble Adonis

His body rising and falling in perfect time

My eyes wander back to the ocean

And I am taken aback by its seeming unending polish

Something howling softy around my wrist catches my attention

Oh just my watch telling me its time to go back to the home me and my enchanter share

He stirs and I silently condemn the infernal time piece to hell

His eyes flutter open and a smile spreads across his face as his gaze meets mine

His eyes kidnap mine in there infinite and epic demeanor for what feel like an eternity

His eyes sing to me like the muse of the ancient ones, they always had

Even with the gentle harmonic rhythm that was our love

I still get dazzled every time I catch a glimpse of those shiny sapphire globes

His Eyes……There mine forever
