    Suffocating

Your eyes pull me in as I gasp in surprise
My arms open wide aching for your embrace
your eyes water as we squeeze one another tightly
I inhale suffocating in an aroma that reminds me of a home i once knew
You sigh as the embrace we share lingers on and on
I wake from my bliss and welcome you into my house
You step inside and take it all in while I reminisce about the past

    15 years since you left

12 years since we last talked

10 years since your mother died

2 weeks since you called me

5 minutes since I lost my self in your eyes

2 minutes since I kissed your lips

1 minute since we shed our clothes

Now is the moments we cherish.
The ones where karma meets fate and the cosmos align.

Gone are the dates of hatred because you left.

Now is the time those fairytales talk about

Where we live happily ever after

If not, I will capture enough of this moment to carry me through my life

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
