    MY DOG

                           Dog
you are wild and strong but never hurt me

    you are my best friend

that is why I call you "friend"

you dont switch mode like I do

you always feel the way I feel

Even when I get mad at you

you are willing to make up at once

the only friend that never borrowed from me.

whenever I leave you, you miss me

you always race towards the gate when I 'm back,

you walk with me whether tired or hungry

    Jealously you guide our home.

    Aggressively you protect me.
If I spell your name backward
    you are god,
and like him you see everything and still smile.

One of my best friends is a dog lover and he says there is nothing like the love you get when you come home from work and they are just waiting at the door for you. Wagging their tails and playing....Personally, I don't trust dogs.

This is good. How i wish i can have a dog too that fits the attribute of this your dog. It's just that i am allergic to dogs. Nice words.

very good poem. not so sure if its a metaphor or an analogy to a best friend or if this is to be taken very literal. good job either way

Light.. truly the light that you see is one of love and loyalty.. I love this poem. Never a better friend to have than that of a dog.. besides of course God.. nice job.. hugs. SilverGirl

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
