    My Message Machine

When you left, you broke my heart, and it never really mended.

I felt like that day my life along with yours had just suddenly ended.

You never got to see me make my first book, or sing my first song.

I don't know about anyone else but this just seems so wrong!

As I stand alone in the pouring rain,

I can't help but be overwhelmed by all that pain.

my brain is telling me that you aren't here,

but I won't listen because of my fear.

I need you here, can't you tell.

Until you come I will stay in my shell.

I won't hang with friends, or talk on the phone.

    I will always be alone.

I won't have a boyfriend, or play on the computer.

Because without you I have no future.

I loved you too much to forget about you.

But what other option do you give me to chose?

All I can think about, what next will I lose.

I hate walking around with my heart filled with fear.

But yet I can't cry a single tear.

I am afraid to have a friend or love,

because all the choices come from up above.

    Will this man die today,

or will this girl not come out to play?

You never know if you are next.

Because no one person can read this text.

He writes and reads in his own secret alphabet.

You can't read his plan worth shit.

All you know is that today might be your last,

and you can't change the past.

But I think that I will always be alone.

So leave a message at the tone.
