    My Purpose

    I stand alone
    One man, faithful and just
A grain of sand within the universe's vast desert
    But why should I matter?

I find comfort in the darkest recesses of my very being
Sometimes consumed by sorrow and my dark truths
    But does anyone care?

Who am I? What am I?
Ask my demons as they torture my very soul
Consuming the purest part of me
    Making room for despair
    But what can I do?

Nothing, for the path I walk is not my own
    I am embraced by love
    Sheltered by kindness
    Guided by righteousness

    Touched by the right hand
Of that which has no name
    But has all names

    Never alone, never lost
Rich even when I have nothing
No longer filled with a fools wisdom
No longer searching for a guide, for I am a light

A beacon of hope to those before me
    Radiant with blessings
    I no longer stand alone
But I am still one man, faithful and just
A grain of sand within the universe's vast desert
But now understanding that without each grain
The desert would not be whole
