Never Should Have Trusted You

Never Should Have Trusted You

The things you say,
The people you play,
I was just a big game to you.
I try to pass it through your thick skull
That I have feelings, too.

I cry myself to sleep every night
Because of our last stupid fight.
You played with my feelings,
You played with my heart.
I should have known you were a player right from the start. </3

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
