When I wake up in the night

I wish that you were here

To hold me close and comfort me

And kiss away my tears

You taught me so much that I’ll never forget

Like to never give up on Christ.

No matter how many daily struggles I have,

No matter how many fights.

You and my God saved my life

And I wrote this so you can see

How much you have helped me

And how much you mean to me.

I’ve also written this to apologize

For the person I used to be,

Because now we can barely see each other

All because of stupid me.

I never believed in magic

Until you kissed me for our first time,

Gosh, I hate to sound cheesy

But I swear I could see sparks fly.

All this stupid frustration

And my anger that boils inside

Is instantly gone when I talk to you

Because you give me a sense of pride.

You make me feel so beautiful

Even when I look like a mess.

You give me the self-esteem I’ve always lacked

When you call me your princess.

I guess I wrote this cheesy love poem

To express my real feelings for you,

And I hope you can appreciate this

Even if you don’t feel this way too.
